A Tranquil Village in the Heart of the Island

Tucked away in the heart of the island, Llubí is a charming village that offers a peaceful, authentic taste of rural Mallorca. Located in the Pla de Mallorca region, Llubí is surrounded by open countryside, traditional windmills, and almond groves, making it an attractive location for those seeking serenity while staying well-connected to the rest of the island.

Llubí is known for its traditional stone houses, quiet streets, and laid-back atmosphere. Unlike some of the island’s more tourist-heavy areas, Llubí retains its authentic character. The village has a small but lively weekly market and is home to a handful of cafés, bakeries, and local shops — perfect for a slow, Mediterranean lifestyle.

Llubí, is famous for the cultivation of Mallorca’s delicious capers and caperberry’s, Glosa Marina in the village sells authentic Mallorcan products vinegars, sea salt, and honey which is also a specialty of Llubi.

Llubi 40 kilometers from Palma the capital is about 40 minutes by car to the capital with excellent access via the Ma-13 motorway and the village has a train station connecting it to Palma to Inca, Sa Pobla and Manacor. From Llubí, it’s easy to reach the beaches of the bay of Alcúdia and the nearby villages such as Sineu, Costitx, and Santa Margalida, each offering their own slice of rural Mallorcan charm.

About 1241 the village is document with the names Castellubi and Castro Lupino referring to ancient farm house from the Islamic period the origins of which probably dates to a far more ancient settlement from the Iron Age Talaiotic culture called “Es Recons” next to the village. The Arabic name Rahal Aben Lubi, son of the wolf mistranslated in to Latin, lives on in the shield of the village as a castle with the wolf below.

Llubi is known for
