Can Pastilla a suburb of the capital city Palma de Mallorca, was part of the original tourism boom in Mallorca in the 1960s and 1970s. Consequently, many of the older buildings dating from the middle of the last century originally built for the tourism market are now being repurposed into apartments and larger residential units more suitable for permanent residents.
