Son Serra de Marina ( Santa Margalida)

Son Serra de Marina Mallorca

Son Serra de Marina is tucked away in the northern part of Mallorca, within the Pla de Mallorca region, and falls under the municipality of Santa Margalida. Although it is one of the island’s top spots for wave enthusiasts, this quaint resort remains relatively unknown, drawing in surfers and adventure sports lovers. During the summer, the cafes and restaurants buzz with activity during the day, but due to the absence of large hotels, visitor numbers dwindle in the late afternoon, allowing local residents and those fortunate enough to have secured a holiday rental to enjoy the beach and dining options in peace during the evening.

The main draw of Son Serra de Marina is its stunning coastline, offering breathtaking views that extend from Alcudia to the Cap Farrutx peninsula. This expansive coastal stretch features rougher waters compared to most areas on the island, making it a hotspot for thrill-seekers. The beach at Son Serra de Marina is sandy, about 400 meters long, and partially artificial. A short walk will lead you to more natural beaches, with Son Real beach in one direction and Sa Cànova beach in the other.
